Hello everyone and Happy Sunday!

What a week that was for SFF Fandom… I won’t dwell on it since I spent most of the week tweeting on the subject of Jonathan Ross and the Hugo Awards but would like to leave a few links to some of the more thoughtful, complete, unbiased articles about the events:

1) Start with this timestamped Storify of what really went down on Twitter last Saturday (thanks to @infamousfiddler)

2) Then read “The timeline problem, or why Seanan (McGuire) isn’t the reason why Ross withdrew”

3) Then read Foz Meadows’ incredibly thoughtful analysis about the problem and how it happened, the fact that the Chairs were not prepared for the announcement, and the context in which most of us criticised the choice of having Ross hosting the Hugos.

4) And finally, please read Kameron Hurley’s articles on the matter. On Tuesday, Thea tackles The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski, a book that has received an incredible amount of positive reviews so far

For Old School Wednesdays, Ana decides it’s time for another Diana Wynne Jones: she reads The Homeward Bounders

Then, on Thursday, Ana reviews the Science Fiction novella Trading Rosemary by Octavia Cade

Finally on Friday, we post our joint review of Honor’s Knight by Rachel Bach (sequel to Fortune’s Pawn. Over at Kirkus, Thea reviews Horror novel The Troop by Nick Cutter
