This Week on The Book Smugglers:
On Monday, Ana kicks off the week with a review of Fantasy novel City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett
On Tuesday, we are SO excited to present the first in a two-part SFF in Conversation event: we have gathered a panel of outstanding authors to talk about diversity in magical creatures in speculative fiction. Authors include: Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Shveta Thakrar, Octavia Cade, Marie Brennan, Whiti Hereaka, Rochita Loenen-Ruiz, E.C. Myers, Aliette de Bodard, Benjanun Sriduangkaew, Bogi TakΓ‘cs and Joyce Chng.
Wednesday, it’s time for this month’s Old School Wednesday Readalong, in which we read Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler.
Thursday, we’re back to the second part in our SFF in Conversation event, with more diverse magical creatures.
Finally, on Friday, we close out the week with our joint review of YA Nutcracker retelling Winterspell by Claire Legrand, plus Thea is over at Kirkus with her review of Horrorstor by Grady Hendrix.
It’s another busy week – we cannot wait to dive in. Until tomorrow, we remain…
