Dang! Can we at least give it an applause for a great cover? Seriously. It’s an awesome cover. Guess this proves that you can’t judge a book by its cover. Thanks for saving me from this zombie.

That was a great review on Kirkus! I’m pleased that some people are finally getting fed up with slangy, faky teen voice (which all agents are still desperately searching for).

One thing though. Is it only me who notices a slight resemblance to Ender’s Game (besides the very similar title)? Young hero fights bellows (buggers), who’re poised to take over the world (universe), by using the techniques of a computer game, but they keep evolving and getting better until, finally, young hero defeats them.

It’s unfortunate that this did not meet expectations. The cover is quite creepy actually, and I was hoping that the content matched this positively.
