This Week on The Book Smugglers:
On Monday, Ana kicks off the week in style with a trio of middle grade reviews: Permanent Rose by Hilary Mckay, The Wolves of Wiloughby Chase by Joan Aiken, and From the Mixed-up Files of Basil E Frankeiler by EL Konigsburg.
Tuesday, it is Thea’s turn with a review of YA SF dystopia Orleans by Sherri L. Smith – plus an Inspirations & Influences post from Sherri, and a giveaway of the book.
On Wednesday, we give you our Old School Wednesday results and plans: thanks to all of the AMAZING suggestions we received last week, we have compiled a shelf at GoodReads, we’re adding a public page here to our site for others to reference, AND we have a planned monthly vote/readalong. All details to be unveiled…
On Thursday (Pi Day!), we are thrilled to host the cover reveal for Susan Jane Bigelow’s new book, The Daughter Star. And, later in the day, Ana reviews YA historical novel Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys.
Friday, we close out the week with a joint review of Strands of Bronze and Gold by Jane Nickerson. And, Thea is over at Kirkus with a review of 2013 Nebula Award nominated fantasy novel Throne of the Crescent Moon by Saladin Ahmed (we’re doing our best to read ALL of the Nebula nominated best novels before the awards are presented).
It’s a busy week! Until tomorrow, we remain…
