As we leave the hectic, crazy Halloween Week behind (“It was the best of times” [for Thea], “It was the worst of times” [for Ana, the Ninny] ) instead of taking a break, we jump straight into another hectic , crazy week for we, Smugglers, know not the concept of slowing down!
So buckle up gentle readers, you are in for a bumpy drive as we have not one, but two Very Special Guests this week: the awesome, cool, writer of Ana’s favourite paranormal romance series MELJEAN BROOK and the awesome, cool, writer of some of Ana’s favourite historical novels, the one and only JULIA QUINN!!
There will be tears, there will be squeeing and there will be FREE BOOKS to giveaway.
So,
This week:
We kick off the week with a two-day celebration of Meljean’s Brook new release in her Guardian series, Demon Bound. We invited Meljean to write a special post for us telling all about her dorky inspirations for her series and for Demon Bound more specifically. From Milton to Gaiman, from Games to Grateful Dead T-Shirts, it is an amazing insight into the mind of a fantastic writer and one you don’t want to miss.
Demon Bound comes out this Tuesday, 4th November and we will be posting our review then and will you learn why Demon Bound has made Ana’s top 10 of 2008 list and why Jake Hawkins is her favourite hero of 2008.
On Wednesday, we will be reviewing two other 4th November releases. Thea will review Magic to the Bone by Devon Monk and Ana will review Flat-Out Sexy by Erin McCarthy.
On Thursday ,we will have another one of our infamous Powerpuff Girls Review where Ana (AKA Bubbles) and Katiebabs (AKA Blossum ) will be reviewing yet another 4th November (“remember, remember the 4th of November!!!!!) , The Missing by Shiloh Walker.
And finally, on Friday, we will have an exclusive interview with Julia Quinn (squeeeee) – she talks about her two newest releases – The Lost Duke of Wyndham and Mr Cavendish, I Presume and about writing, inspirations and everything else!
So write down “Book Smugglers’ crazy week” on your calendars and see you all next week!
