Giveaways Smugglers Stash

Smugglers Weekly Stash and News

First, down to business. As our Nalini Singh weekend comes to an end, we’d like to thank everyone for participating, and for Nalini coming over and chatting with us!

The winner of the Hostage to Pleasure giveaway is…

Pam P.

Congrats Pam! Please drop us a line with your mailing info at thebooksmugglers AT hotmail DOT com and we will get you your copy of the book asap. Thanks again to all who participated!

Around the web:

Paul of Blood of the Muse is giving away a signed copy of Night Rising by Chris Marie Green, book one of her Vampire Babylon series. The contest ends on September 20th! (And, for the record, Blood of the Muse is a really cool speculative fiction review blog covering everything from comic books to horror to urban fantasy. Plus, there are always some really great giveaways. Definitely worth checking out!).

After a manuscript leaked online, Stephenie Meyer has posted the first TWELVE CHAPTERS of Midnight Sun. I’m still burned out on Twilight after the Breaking Dawn debacle, but this retelling from Edward’s point of view should be a good read.

Also, today is the last day of Meljean Brook’s giveaway of First Blood. Hurry on over to leave a comment, and she’ll announce the winners tomorrow.

And An Announcement:

The remainder of the week will be a mini-special for us, in what we are calling our Dark Fairy Tale Appreciation Week. We will begin tomorrow by doing a joint review of the graphic novel Fables: Legends in Exile, to kick things off. Then on Wednesday and Thursday, we’ll have joint reviews of Melissa Marr’s books Wicked Lovely and Ink Exchange. On Friday, we will have an interview with Melissa herself! So please, stay tuned.

We hope everyone is enjoying their long holiday weekend!

Wow! I am SUCH a Melissa Marr fan-girl. *g* I’ll be glued to your blog…

Also, Melissa loves the FABLES series, so you’ve picked a good one there. 🙂

Oh Karen I’m a total Marr fangirl as well! I just devoured Ink Exchange and really cannot express how much I loved it. AND she loves the Fables series!? My heart, it flutters 🙂 Fables is highly, unhealthily addictive. As if I needed another comic book obsession! Ayayay :p

Excellent! I love Wicked Lovely!!! I still haven’t gotten around to reading Ink Exchange, though.

I met Melissa in April at NY Comic Con. She is such an awesome person. I’m looking forward to the interview.

*wonders if I can finish current novel and read Ink Exchange by Thursday . . . *

I’m excited for your interview of Melissa! I really enjoyed WICKED LOVELY. Her theme of “There is always a Choice” was MUCH better communicated than Stephanie Meyer. *snort* Haven’t read INK EXCHANGE yet, but I plan to.
