Even though it might be a bit cold outside and still technically is winter, we wanted brighten up with a look to warmer times ahead. We are stoked for the bevvy of superhero movies coming out this year in what promises to be one of the coolest movie summers ever.
In light of all the upcoming awesome superhero blockbusters, this weekend’s question is:
Who is your favorite book to screen (super)hero?
The Batman in The Dark Knight
The Dark Knight himself, the quintessential vigilante that crosses the line between doing what is “good” and doing what needs to be done
Spiderman in the upcoming Spiderman 4
Spiderman, Spiderman…you know the rest. Hailed as one of the best adaptations of a comic to screen ever, Spidey is one popular dude.
Superman in Superman: Man of Steel (working title)
The Man of Steel, faster than a speeding bullet, blah blah blah. Oh wait, this is supposed to be an objective poll? *blushes* You know. It’s Superman.
The Incredible Hulk in The Hulk
Yup, a remake with Edward Norton is in the works. No more “You won’t like me when I’m Ang Lee!” I mean, angry! The mildmannered Bruce Banner’s alterego, the angry, juggernaut-like Green Giant.
Hellboy in Hellboy II: The Golden Army
Demon from Hell, paranormal investigator extraordinaire, and a nice guy under the gruff exterior.
Tony Stark, brilliant inventor and billionaire, nearly invincible in his armor, and set on saving the world.
Wolverine in X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Yeah, he ate up a lot of screen time in the X-Men movies, but you gotta love the berserker adamantium clawed mutant with an attitude
Ok, so he hasn’t been in a movie YET. But what girl can resist the smooth talking Cajun, Remy LeBeau?
Doctor Manhattan in The Watchmen
Nuclear Physicist gone superhuman, with pretty much every power imaginable, including control over space and time
Indiana Jones in Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
So…kinda cheated on this one, but if we’re talking about summer blockbusters, Indy has got to make an appearance for 2008. Technically the Indiana Jones comics didn’t come out until after Raiders of the Lost Ark, but in this case, we’ll make an exception.

February 23, 2008 at 2:02 amOh dear! This one is hard. I am completely excited about every single one of them. Indy! Back again after so many years! The Watchmen, one of the best Graphic Novels around, plus Dr Manhattan is played by Billy Crudup….
I love SpiderMan even though the third movie was a major disapointment. I am not a major fan of DC heroes but Superman Returns was completely awesome and Batman Begins was brilliant – Christian Bale is the best Batman and I can.not.wait. for the Dark Knight.
But my heart belongs with the two x-men heroes. I Have read every single issue of The X-men up until when they dared to allow Magneto to remove the Adamantium from Wolverine’s bones! The pain was too much and I quit reading then.
Wolverine was definitely my favorite Hero until Gambit came along!!! His charm, his power , his witty conversation amazed me – plus his interactions with Rogue were awesome!
So I guess what I am trying to say is that Gambit is my choice!!!
Gosh, Look at this size of this comment. I am such a dork. LOL.

February 23, 2008 at 9:17 amIt is a toughie Ana.
Wolverine is a given as one of my ultimate favorites (isn’t he everyone’s? *giggles* No, I’m not talking to you Cyclops lovers). But Remy!! How can you resist? Gambit and Rogue were my two favorite X-Men from waaay back as a young one watching the original cartoon (best cartoon theme song intro ever, by the way).
Buuut my loyalties, through thick and thin have ALWAYS been with the DC universe, and with the Dark Knight in graphic novel and movie form (imagine my outrage with that turdnugget Batman and Robin). I cannot wait for the movie this summer.
Not a huge Superman or Spidey fan *ducks* I loved Spidey 1, but they got progressively worse IMO. Superman has enough fangirls in his camp. I don’t want clean cut dammit I want brooding, badass and dark.
I love Hellboy as well–loved the first movie, can’t wait for the second one π And who doesn’t love Indiana Jones!
So, Gambit, eh Ana? *giggles* Well, cherie as long as I get Bruce Wayne, I’m a happy gal.

February 24, 2008 at 7:31 amI am fairly clueless on some of these, but my vote goes to Wolverine, no small thanx to Hugh Jackman for making him so hot.
